Oslo City #8

 

Admir Batlak and Margaret Abeshu have invited 17 local fashion-related practitioners and aim to show a wide range of contemporary fashion perspectives. Being exhibited in an art space, the works are activating the medium's potential outside of its conventional contexts. Oslo City is BOA's satellite program for which external curators are invited to curate short events in BOA's premises. The initiative looks at the subcultural and interdisciplinary art environment in Oslo, and the goal is to give the general public insight into the political thoughts and ideas that characterize the young art and culture field in Oslo today. Oslo City is initiated by Hedda Grevle Ottesen, and run together with Ida Charlotte Nilsen. Oslo City is supported by the The Norwegian Art council, BO and Oslo Municipality.
